AMASE Volunteer Opportunities:

AMASE Youth Volunteer Program:

Dedicated and passionate youth volunteers talented in music and/or the arts welcome to apply!

Youth Volunteer Description:

AMASE provides volunteering opportunities to youth volunteers (9-12 grade) through our music and art programs. We issue community service hours at the end of each semester to volunteers who completed their time commitment.

Our program hours:
Mondays: 5:00pm – 6:00pm (music class only)
Fridays: 5:00pm – 7:00pm (both Music & Art classes)

To participate in our program, volunteers must be talented at either music or art, have compassion for special needs students, and be encouraging and respectful towards special needs students, parents, teachers, and other volunteers.

Requirements for the interview:

Music volunteers: audition (scales, solo piece, and sight-reading)
Art volunteers: prepare a portfolio (minimum of three pieces)
An Essay including the following: a) reason for volunteering at AMASE; b) previous experience with children; & c) experience or knowledge about special education
Two adult references and their contact information
